MENU-DRIVEN DATA FILE CONTROL

 

The entire TeleClaim System was designed to flow intuitively around the needs of the health care professional. As tong as the TeleClaim operator knows what he or she wants to do, the solution is always just one or two keystrokes away. Any system is only as accurate as the data used. It is vital to provide an easy-to-use and convenient facility to the benefit manager or administrator for keeping the data fresh and up-to-date.

The TeleClaim system data-file maintenance is a major feature. To add, edit or delete records, just select File Maintenance from the Main Menu. Clients, groups, members, pharmacy chains, individual pharmacies, physicians, or drugs are all available under File Maintenance.

To print reports, select Printing from the Main Menu and then mark the reports with a "P" to print.

If the TeleClaim operator wants to copy the reports to tape in lieu of printing immediately, he or she merely needs to mark them with a "T" instead of the "P". These instructions are clearly printed across the bottom of the computer screen. To do Daily, Semi-Monthly, Monthly or Quarterly processing, simply select Cycle Processing from the Main Menu and then select which reporting period to process.

That's all there is to it. Everything else is automatic.

The most complicated part of doing cycle processing is knowing to select Semi-Monthly on the 16th of the month, and Monthly processing on the 1st of the following month. And if the operator isn't sure what day it is, we've added a calendar next to the Main Menu.

All reports are ready to print the same day, or depending on the volume of transaction, the same hour.Then the operator must select Printing from the Main Menu and mark the reports that he wants to print. The various reports are color-coded on the screen for easy handling.
