This is the most
independent approach whereby the user installs the
TeleCLAIM software at its own facility.
DpRx delivers and trains the user in the proper use of the TeleCLAIM software that is
installed on the users computer, usually at the home office of the licensing client.
DpRx maintains an online connection
to its licensed software to emulate a local presence for its client. This online
connection enables immediate response to problems that may arise in the execution of the
system that may be due to improper operator activities or the result of environmental
failures (e.g. loss of power beyond the coverage provided by recommended UPS
devices).
The user client becomes responsible
for the maintenance of the system, selection of a Price Database vendor and a
DUR Database
vendor. All functions of the total system are usually under the control of the users
IT manager.
The Pharmacy department manager,
usually a Pharmacist, manages all the support functions of a PBM. The manager ordinarily
will supervise all other pharmacists, Help Desk technicians and other administrative
personnel. Additionally, the manager will arrange for Rebate contracts and negotiate the
most desirable rates for the organization. DpRx software provides the standard formatted
claims data files required of the Rebate dealers who in turn deliver the merged data to
the payers - the pharmaceutical manufacturers.
