| Direct PBM Services
DpRx
provides full or partial PBM services based on the desires of the client. A full service
PBM takes control of the entire process by implementing the following components of a
full-service PBM:

Pharmacy staff to assist
pharmacies and physicians, development of benefit plans, manage PAR allocations and
construct and manage the type Formulary selected by the client. |

Man and administer a 1, 2
or 3 shift Help Desk with Pharmacy technicians adequate to respond to all calls within a
prescribed response time criterion. |

 |
Implement and maintain a
24x7 Real-time, online Drug Claims processing computer system operating under standard
carriers or by Internet connections. |

 |
Negotiate and manage an
effort to secure the highest Rebate returns to optimize the clients net
PMPM costs. |
|
|
 |
Provide extensive
management reporting for the establishment client priorities to ensure the adherence to
client objectives of outcome performance and member satisfaction. |
The primary elements of PBM cost in this scenario are
provided by a rate schedule that includes at least the following unbundled components for
client evaluation of PBM performance.

Reimbursement of
Providers at negotiated discounts and dispensing fees, |

Administrative charge by
paid claims, |

Incremental Formulary,
deductible/maximum and mail order management fees, |

Help Desk charges by
number calls handled and shifts implemented, |

Online fees for client
database access and ad hoc report fees. |
After the application of rebate recovery, DpRx expects
and projects PMPM costs to be at least 6 to 10% below current costs of alternative
PBM
services. DpRx will entertain approaches that share the risk with the client.
Those companies that prefer to maintain a direct
involvement is some of the aspects of a PBM (e.g. client Pharmacist management,
development of benefit plans, etc.)
